Job summary

Real Estate Souq in Oman seeks a senior buying professional to build differentiated assortments for multiple retail concepts and to source premium dates, nuts, spices and related items. You will shape price architecture for gifting ranges and coordinate with Design/Marketing on packaging.

You will develop GCC and international supplier networks, negotiate terms, and work with planners on seasonal forecasts to ensure strong margin, stock control and ageing management while maintaining premium

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant category/buying experience.
• Strong experience in dates, nuts, spices, coffee, tea, dry fruits or roastery.
• GCC sourcing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of origins, grades and quality differentiation is highly recommended.
• Strong supplier network highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build differentiated assortments for each retail concept.
• Source varieties, grades and origins of dates and develop coffee, tea, nuts, dry fruits, spices and roastery ranges.
• Create premium, gifting and Good-Better-Best price architecture.
• Develop Ramadan, Eid and gifting assortments.
• Develop Oman, GCC and international supplier networks and direct sourcing where beneficial.
• Negotiate cost, MOQ, credit, exclusivity, lead time and promotional support.
• Maintain product quality, consistency and alternative sourcing options.
• Develop private-label/exclusive products, pack sizes and premium presentation.
• Coordinate packaging development with Design/Marketing.
• Own Sales, GP, Margin, Stock, Wastage and Ageing.
• Work with Planner on seasonal forecasts and replenishment.
• Analyse product and brand performance and manage promotions without weakening premium positioning.
