Job summary

The Sultan’s School seeks an experienced BTEC ICT Teacher to join in August 2027, primarily delivering Level 2 BTEC ICT with some GCSE potential. Strong practical ICT delivery and understanding of BTEC assessment will help students succeed in a vocational pathway.

Experience teaching Level 2 Business is a plus, and applicants with GCSE teaching exposure are welcome. The role offers excellent CPD and a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-qualifying teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree closely related to your teaching subject
• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent
• Under 60 years of age due to visa restrictions
• Previous BTEC teaching experience is essential

BTEC ICT Teacher – The Sultan’s School, Oman

The Sultan’s School seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic BTEC ICT Teacher to join the school in August 2027, teaching primarily Level 2 BTEC ICT, with some potential GCSE-level teaching. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with strong practical experience of delivering the BTEC ICT curriculum who understands its assessment requirements, vocational approach and the skills needed to help students succeed. The ability to also teach Level 2 Business would be an advantage, while previous experience teaching at GCSE level would also be helpful as there may be opportunities to teach some GCSE classes.
