Job summary

A well-established cafe in Nizwa is urgently seeking a skilled Barista to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working as a Barista and be able to handle a high volume of orders while maintaining quality standards.

As our cafe caters to both locals and tourists, fluency in English is essential. The selected candidate must also possess excellent customer service skills and be able to create latte art.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Barista in a fast-paced cafe.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and latte art.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure.
• Biometric passport preferred for visa processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages according to established recipes
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area at all times
• Ensure quality control by regularly checking the taste, temperature, and appearance of drinks
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of sales
• Upsell cafe products by making recommendations to customers
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times
