Job summary

FAENA Movement is seeking a Barista to craft and serve coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages with precision and warmth in a luxury café environment in Oman.

You will ensure quality, cleanliness, and efficiency while engaging guests and upselling products. The role emphasizes product knowledge, teamwork, and adherence to high food-safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista in a high-volume or luxury hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, specialty coffee, and brewing techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
• Barista certification or hospitality training is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to exact recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and timely delivery of all beverages.
• Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout service.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, and related supplies proactively.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment safely, reporting any issues promptly.
• Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Process guest orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, teas, and specialty beverages to confidently recommend and upsell.
• Personalize service by engaging with guests and, where appropriate, using names.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.Assist with setup before service and breakdown/cleaning after shifts.
• Prepare mise en place in advance to support peak service periods.
• Support onboarding of new team members by demonstrating beverage preparation and service standards.
• Maintain Faena service standards in appearance, behavior, and guest interaction.

JOB OVERVIEW
