Job summary

Muscat University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Sustainable Shipping to enhance its Faculty of Transport & Logistics. The post holder will deliver high-quality teaching and engage in research, focusing on sustainable practices in the shipping industry.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a related field and have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in the GCC region. A competitive compensation package, including annual leave, is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Higher Education teaching is required.
• Experience in the GCC region preferred.
• Professional qualifications and/or memberships in recognized bodies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching for Transport and Logistics programmes.
• Construct, plan, and assess student assignments.
• Undertake research with publishing goals in quality journals.
• Engage with external maritime and logistics bodies.
