Jumeirah Muscat Bay is seeking an Assistant Manager - Human Capital to lead HR operations in a luxury hospitality environment. The role focuses on HRIS management, recruitment, employee relations, and workforce planning to ensure optimal staffing and service quality.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in HR, with at least five years in HR roles within hospitality, and a track record of developing a positive workplace culture and compliant HR practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hotel Management or HR is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management is desirable.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar HR role, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience in HRIS administration, recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, and welfare services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate HRIS records and staff files and plan staffing with the workforce tool.
• Conduct recruitment interviews and exit interviews across departments.
• Oversee colleague accommodation, clinic operations and cafeteria services.
• Coordinate colleague engagement activities to promote wellbeing and culture.
• Provide coaching and counselling to colleagues and managers, and support disciplinary processes.
• Liaise with government agencies to process required documentation and approvals.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager - Human Capital to joinJumeirah Muscat Bay. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HRIS records, digital and physical colleague files, and the resort’s workforce planning tool to support effective staffing decisions and departmental planning.
• Conduct recruitment interviews and exit interviews for colleagues in Grades 10–7 across all departments, ensuring quality hires, gathering meaningful feedback and recommending appropriate improvements.
• Oversee colleague accommodation, clinic operations and cafeteria services, ensuring colleagues’ requirements are addressed, service standards are maintained and daily operations run smoothly.
• Plan and coordinate colleague engagement activities that promote wellbeing, recognition and a positive workplace culture, working closely with departments and external suppliers.
• Provide coaching and counselling to colleagues and managers, support disciplinary meetings and investigations in accordance with applicable legislation and company guidelines, and ensure HR team members receive regular appraisals, consultation and development opportunities.
• Liaise with government agencies to process required documentation, licences and approvals, while maintaining effective relationships with HR, Marketing, Sales, Finance, colleagues, external candidates and suppliers.

About you

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A diploma in Hotel Management, Human Resources Management or an internationally recognised equivalent is essential.
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or an internationally recognised equivalent is desirable.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar Human Resources role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated experience in HRIS administration, recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, colleague engagement and welfare services, with knowledge of applicable employment legislation and government procedures.
