Jumeirah Muscat Bay is seeking a Manager Purchasing - Finance to lead hotel procurement, supplier selection, and cost optimization in a luxury hospitality setting. The role focuses on ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while upholding high quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
• Experience as a Purchasing Manager, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management, and purchasing systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities with knowledge of local supplier market.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel’s purchasing activities, ensuring all departments receive goods, equipment, and services required on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers by comparing quality, pricing, availability, and service reliability, while maintaining strong relationships with approved vendors.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve best value while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Review purchase requisitions and oversee purchase orders, ensuring compliance with budgets, authorisation requirements, procurement policies, and internal controls.
• Work closely with departmental leaders, Finance, Receiving, and Stores to plan purchasing requirements, resolve delivery or quality issues, and monitor supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, analyse purchasing costs and market trends, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation through alternative sourcing and improved purchasing practices.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

Manage the hotel’s purchasing activities, ensuring all departments receive the goods, equipment, and services required on time, within budget, and in line with Jumeirah’s quality standards.

Negotiate competitive prices, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve best value while maintaining the quality and consistency required for luxury hotel operations.
