Job summary

Community Care Trust Aotearoa in Dunedin is seeking a confident Team Leader to guide our Youth Services team. You will lead, coach and support a team of Support Workers, ensuring safe, person-centred practice and strong relationships with tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.

This full-time role includes an on-call roster and involvement in payroll and rostering processes. We value trauma-informed, culturally responsive leadership and a calm, solution-focused approach to 24/7 service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership or senior support role, preferably within youth, disability, mental health or social services.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with staff rostering and an understanding of basic payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and supporting your team to deliver quality, person-centred support.
• Developing and maintaining safe, effective 24/7 staffing rosters.
• Supporting day-to-day service operations, including payroll processes and documentation.
• Building positive relationships with tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and other professionals.
• Encouraging a team culture built on trust, accountability and open communication.
• Responding calmly and confidently to challenges, keeping the needs of young people at the centre of decisions.
