Job summary

Sumner School invites applications for a syndicate leader to guide our Rapanui Team, supporting ākonga from Years 0 to 2. The role includes dedicated release time to focus on leadership mahi and contribute beyond the classroom.

We seek someone with strong curriculum knowledge, especially in structured literacy, play-based learning and mathematics, who thrives in a collaborative, student-centred environment and aligns with our school vision and values.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a primary/intermediate school setting.
• Strong knowledge of literacy and maths curriculum.

This role will see the successful applicant leading our Rapanui Team, working with ākonga in Years 0 to 2. Our team leaders are provided with dedicated release time to support their leadership mahi and make a meaningful contribution beyond their own classroom.

This is a wonderful opportunity to step into leadership within a supportive, collaborative and fun team. You’ll work alongside wonderful tamariki in our flexible learning spaces and with colleagues who are passionate about making a difference. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with others, has strong curriculum knowledge (particularly in structured literacy, play-based learning and mathematics) and shares our commitment to our school vision and values.
