Job summary

Oromahoe School in a rural Northland community is seeking an enthusiastic intermediate teacher to join a collaborative team. The role focuses on strong relationships, engaging learning across Years 1–8, and opportunities to lead local histories and Te Tiriti o Waitangi connections.

We value digital creativity, community involvement and a commitment to learners, whānau and the wider rohe. Term 1 2027 start for a full-time, permanent position in a close-knit school of about 170 students.

Qualifications

• NZ registered teacher with current practicing certificate.
• Experience with William Pike Challenge or willingness to lead related activities.
• Interest in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and local rohe histories.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Year 1–8 in English, Health and PE, Maths, Science and other learning areas.
• Foster strong relationships with ākonga, whānau and the school community.
• Contribute to school life and rural community initiatives.
