Job summary

Papakaio School, located inland from Oamaru in Otago, is seeking three dynamic educators to teach Years 3–6 starting Term 1, 2027. We offer an exceptionally well-resourced environment, with full training provided for the right candidates.

Applicants should be NZ registered teachers with energy and enthusiasm for quality learning. A strong background in Structured Literacy and confidence in Te Reo Māori would be advantageous in our collaborative, high-functioning team.

Qualifications

• NZ registered teachers only.
• Energy and enthusiasm for providing quality learning experiences is essential.
• Experienced teachers preferred but not required
• A strong background in Structured Literacy teaching.
• Confidence in Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Teach Years 3–6 in the primary/intermediate setting, delivering engaging learning across multiple subjects and contexts.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to ignite curiosity and deliver high-impact learning experiences.

Due to retirements, OEs, and roll growth, we are seeking three dynamic, collaborative educators to teach in Years 3–6, starting Term 1, 2027.
