Job summary

Waipawa School in the heart of Central Hawke's Bay is seeking a Certificated teacher for our Year 7–8 team, with openness to Years 5–8. Responsibilities

• Teach Years 1–8 with a focus on Year 7–8 as preferred.
• Deliver English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts.
• Contribute to team planning and whole-school initiatives.

We are after a great teacher and a good sort!

Our preference is to find an outstanding teacher to join our Year 7-8 team, but we're keeping an open mind. If Years 5-8 is where you do your best work, we'd like to hear from you.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a desire to keep improving, the ability to cope when things get busy, and the resilience to keep going when things don't go to plan. Someone who can work hard, laugh often, enjoy being part of a team and, most importantly, cares.

Someone who builds great relationships with children, takes responsibility and wants to make a difference. Someone with high expectations for their learners - and themselves.
