Job summary

Twin Oaks Classical School in Auckland invites applications for a skilled teacher to join our Grammar phase (Years 4–8). The role is a permanent, part-time 0.8 FTTE position with a full paid release day weekly for planning, assessment, PD and parent liaison.

Applicants must hold a current NZ practising certificate and be living in New Zealand. Experience with Classical or Charlotte Mason education is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Classical/Charlotte Mason education welcomed but not required.
• Able to collaborate with parents in a 3-days-at-school, 2-days-at-home model.

Responsibilities

• Teach Upper Grammar learners (Years 4–8) with emphasis on literacy, numeracy and language.
• Draw students into a rich, connected curriculum and strengthen learning habits.
• Plan, assess and communicate with parents within the school’s model.

Twin Oaks Classical School is New Zealand’s first Classical Charlotte Mason charter school. We partner with parents to raise hopeful children who think well, seek wisdom and live flourishing lives in service to others.

We are seeking a skilled teacher to join our growing Grammar phase in Term 1 2027. You will teach Upper Grammar learners (Years 4–8), strengthening literacy, numeracy, language, narration, memory and habits for learning while drawing students into a rich, connected curriculum and working closely with parents through our 3-days-at-school, 2-days-at-home model.

We are looking for a registered teacher who can create a calm, purposeful and nurturing classroom, and who is teachable, reflective and eager to grow in a distinctive educational tradition.

Experience with Classical or Charlotte Mason education is welcomed but not required. Clear curriculum resources, pedagogical guidance, coaching, mentoring and professional development are provided within a supportive, collaborative staff culture.

This is a permanent, salaried 0.8 FTTE position, including one full paid release day each week for planning, assessment, PD and parent liaison. A full time position may be available with leadership units, for the right person.
