Job summary

Pukeoware School in Auckland is seeking a certificated teacher to join our team in a permanent classroom role for Year 3 and 4. Starting term 1, 2027, the successful candidate will deliver engaging learning experiences and build strong relationships with learners, whānau, and colleagues.

You will apply best-practice primary teaching in New Zealand, use assessment information to support progress, and contribute to an inclusive, caring learning environment that values kindness, respect, resilience

Qualifications

• Registered to teach in New Zealand and eligible to teach primary students.
• Strong knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and effective NZ primary practice.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, engaging learning programmes.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Year 3–4 class in a permanent teaching position.
• Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences aligned to NZ curriculum.
• Collaborate with whānau and colleagues to support learner outcomes.
• Prepare assessments and monitor learner progress to guide planning.
