About the role

Egmont Village School is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and caring classroom teacher to join our kura.This position will be in our Year 2 to 5 area of the school, we will discuss actual year level with the successful applicant. We are looking for someone who is committed to making a difference, enthusiastic in their delivery methods and interested in keeping up to date with curriculum development.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• is an excellent communicator and an active team player
• brings a solutions-focused attitude and approaches challenges with a positive outlook
• can build strong, meaningful relationships with students, staff and the wider community
• has strong behaviour management skills
• is skilled in creating positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environments.

Strong knowledge of structured reading, writing and mathematics programmes is essential, along with strong classroom management skills and the ability to provide innovative learning opportunities.
