Job summary

Hastings Central School is seeking a vibrant Certificated teacher for the Primary/Intermediate (Years 1–8) to join our A+ Team in the junior team. A focus on engaging tamariki mā, whānau, and kaiako mā is essential.

Experience with Relationships First and PB4L/IY behaviour management is advantageous. We seek a flexible, passionate, and fun educator who contributes value and impact to our school community.

Qualifications

• Qualifications to teach at primary/intermediate level in New Zealand.
• Experience with PB4L and behaviour management is advantageous.
• Ability to contribute across a wide range of subjects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive curriculum across the listed subjects.
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the A+ Team and kaiako to support tamariki and whānau.
• Contribute to school culture and waiata, kapa haka and te reo Māori integration.

Experience in 'Relationships First - Teaching to the North East' as well as strong behaviour management (think PB4L / IY) is a huge advantage.
