Job summary

Clear Realm Creation Limited, a Dunedin-based renovation and property services company, is seeking an experienced wall and floor tiler to join a small team. Guaranteed hours are 30 per week, with duties spanning tiling, minor renovation tasks, and site safety.

You will prepare surfaces, lay and finish tiles, handle waterproofing, and assist with plastering, painting, carpentry, and repairs as needed. Reliable, independent workers who can weekend-work will fit well here.

Qualifications

• At least one year of proven work experience as a wall and floor tiler.
• Good knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, grouts, and tools.
• Experience in other renovation work (plastering, painting, basic carpentry or plumbing) is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces.
• Prepare surface and lay wall and floor tiles with accuracy.
• Measure, cut, and shape tiles to fit around fixtures and obstacles.
• Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants, ensuring a high-quality finish.
• Apply waterproofing systems.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain existing tile surfaces.
• May lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics.
• Assist with renovation tasks such as plastering, painting, carpentry, and general repair work when required.
• Follow health and safety procedures on all sites.

As a growing business, we are currently developing our operations and building a small team of reliable and suitably experienced people to support our expanding workload.

We are looking for an experienced Wall and Floor Tiler who can also assist with wider renovation tasks.
