Job summary

SHORTS TRANSPORT LTD – Rotorua, North Island, is seeking a Yardman/Driver/Duty Manager when required to join a small team. The role is full-time, 48 hours per week, with a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays if required.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, loading utes and trailers, delivering in the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato, operating the cash till, keeping the yard tidy, and performing additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to operate trucks, loaders and tractors safely.
• Contributes to a safe and respectful workplace by following health and safety procedures.
• NZ residency or valid NZ working visa.
• A clean Police Record.
• Forklift endorsement or willingness to train.
• Willing to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Gardeners Landscape Supplies has a vacancy for a "Yardman / Driver / Duty Manager when required". This is a full-time position ideally suited to someone seeking 48 hours per week and able to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays if required.

We are looking for an honest, reliable, conscientious and motivated person to join our small team, someone with the ability to remain calm and professional should a challenging situation arise.

Key responsibilities

Assist with serving customers and loading of customers' utes and car trailers

Load and make deliveries in trucks, throughout the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato Regions

Operate the Cash Till and close it at the end of the day when required

Load bags of product for sale and for display in yard

Keep the yard tidy at all times

Carry out other tasks from time to time, as directed

About you

Able to operate a range of equipment, including trucks, loaders and tractors, while ensuring everything is used safely and maintained to a high standard

Contributes to a safe and respectful workplace by following all health and safety procedures
