Job summary

PlaceMakers Christchurch in Wellington is seeking a yard and drive-thru associate to assist customers, load/unload products, and process orders. This full-time role supports inventory control and daily operations in a busy timber yard.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid class 1 driver licence with forklift certification or relevant experience, be physically fit, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Monday–Friday with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Full clean class 1 driver licence and Forklift licence/Experience is preferred
• Trade/product knowledge or warehousing experience
• Physically fit and health and safety conscious

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers within the timber yard and Drive Thru department
• Loading goods onto customer vehicles
• Processing customer orders and transactions
• Picking orders for delivery when needed
• Monitoring inventory and performing cycle counts
• Maintaining an efficient warehouse
• Operating a forklift
