Job summary

PlaceMakers in Wellington is seeking a hands-on Yard and Drive Thru Assistant to serve customers, load and unload products, and process orders in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work in the timber yard and drive-thru area, ensuring accurate transactions and safe loading of goods onto customer vehicles.

The role is full-time, offering 40 hours per week with Monday–Friday and rostered Saturdays. A Class 1 driver licence and forklift experience are preferred, along with warehousing

Qualifications

Full clean Class 1 driver licence required.
Forklift licence/experience preferred.
Warehousing or trade knowledge beneficial.
Physically fit and safety-minded.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Great attention to detail and organised.
Computer and numeracy knowledge.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in the timber yard and drive-thru area.
Load goods onto customer vehicles.
Process customer orders and transactions.
Pick orders for delivery when needed.
Monitor inventory and cycle counts.
Maintain an efficient warehouse.
Operate a forklift.
