Job summary

University of Canterbury in Ōtautahi/Christchurch is implementing Workday and seeks an experienced Change Analyst to support the project’s adoption across the university. You will work with the UC Workday change management workstream, collaborating with staff to translate impacts into practical interventions and ensure a smooth transition.

In this hands-on role you will document gaps, identify impacted groups, facilitate discovery sessions, and develop artefacts such as Impact Assessments,

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience applying change management principles to large-scale organisational change.
• Experience in complex transformation programmes; ERP experience is advantageous.
• Proven ability to assess change impacts and engage stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document gaps between current-state and future-state ways of working.
• Identify who and what will be impacted by each gap, across people, process, technology, and culture.
• Facilitate impact discovery sessions with end users and subject-matter experts.
• Develop artefacts: High-level Impacts, Detailed Impact Assessments, Persona Impacts, Change Process slides, and Impact Plans.
• Escalate risks, interdependencies, and information gaps affecting readiness or adoption.
• Contribute insights to readiness assessments, communications, training, and go-live support.
• Support transition to Workday with workshops, end-user training and post-go-live help.
• Capture emerging impacts during transition and adjust interventions as needed.
