Job summary

Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki invites applications for a Whānau Support Worker to join the Oranga Hinengaro team. You will work with whānau experiencing distress across the Hauraki rohe in a kaupapa Māori, whānau-centred setting that values manaakitanga and equity.

The role offers workplace variety, supportive management, and the chance to help families build resilience, set goals and access resources to improve social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Highly engaged and passionate about working with whānau in a kaupapa Māori environment.
• Committed to achieving health equity and driving quality improvement.
• Willing to work with whānau across the Hauraki rohe.

Responsibilities

• Support whānau to gain knowledge, skills, tools, build resilience and confidence they need to better manage their mental distress to take an active part in their wellbeing journey.
• Help set goals and support whānau to work towards them
• Help find resources to support whānau social, emotional and physical wellbeing
