Job summary

Playcentre Aotearoa in Wellington is seeking a part-time Centre Coordinator to support the centre whānau. The role is 9.5 hours per week, Tue and Thu 9.00am–2.15pm, permanent position during term time.

As Person Responsible, you will provide pedagogical guidance, help develop rich, child-led curriculum experiences, and model high-quality, whānau-led sessions while ensuring health, safety and regulatory compliance are met.

Qualifications

• Developing strong relationships with centre whānau and staff
• Guiding adult education and curriculum planning
• Promoting health and safety in session delivery
• Ensuring compliance with ECE regulations and Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Responsibilities

• Support centre whānau to deliver child-led curriculum experiences
• Model high-quality, whānau-led sessions
• Provide guidance on curriculum, adult education and health and safety
• Ensure sessions meet regulatory requirements and Te Tiriti commitments
