Te Rūnanga o Kirikiriroa in Waikato seeks a Housing Navigator to support whānau to secure housing and maintain tenancies. You will manage a caseload, advocate for whānau, coordinate housing applications, and connect with health, social, and cultural services.

The role emphasises kaupapa Māori approaches, working with landlords and external agencies; hours 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in housing support, social services, or related community services.
• Full New Zealand driver licence is required.
• Ability to pass Police and OT vetting.
• Work in a kaupapa Māori organisation rooted in community service and cultural integrity.

Aufgaben

• Build trusting relationships with whānau, their whānau, and stakeholders to support housing outcomes.
• Manage an allocated caseload, identify housing needs, and monitor progress.
• Advocate for whānau and assist with housing applications, referrals, and placement processes.
• Provide practical assistance during housing transitions, including move-ins and tenancies support.
• Collaborate with landlords, housing providers, and community agencies to identify opportunities and coordinate support.
• Help whānau understand tenancy rights and responsibilities, property care, and practical skills.
