Job summary

Stevenson Aggregates Stevenson (a Fulton Hogan subsidiary) is seeking an Afternoon Shift Weighbridge Operator at Drury Quarry. You will welcome customers, operate the weighbridge, and support data entry and processing tasks, while building lasting relationships with clients and visitors.

The role is Monday to Friday, 1:00pm–10:00pm with night shift allowance after 6:00pm. Strong communication and autonomous work style are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have proven customer-facing experience and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate weighbridge systems accurately and maintain records.
• Autonomy to manage day-to-day tasks and solve problems as they arise.
• Experience in administration or weighbridge duties is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate weighbridge and related systems accurately.
• Ensure systems are up to date and followed correctly.
• Greet visitors and manage reception tasks at the quarry.
• Perform data entry and document control.
• Answer phone calls and handle queries or forward as needed.
• Process EFTPOS transactions and manage invoices where required.
• Handle docket inquiries and reconciliations.

Job description

Who are we looking for? We have an exciting opportunity for an Afternoon Shift Weighbridge Operator to join us at our Drury Quarry. You will be the first point of contact at the Quarry and interact face to face with our wide range of clients and customers.

About the role

The successful person will manage and operate the weighbridge system and greet customers and visitors coming into the quarry. You will use your good people skills to build genuine and lasting relationships with our customers.

This is a Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 10:00pm position. Night shift allowance will apply to this role from 6:00pm.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Accurately operate weighbridge and associated systems.
• Ensuring systems are up to date and being accurately followed.
• Receiving visitors to the quarry.
• Data entry and document control.
• Answering the phone and dealing with queries or forwarding to relevant person.
• Eftpos transactions, purchase orders/Invoice processing
• Weighbridge docket enquiries/Docket reconciliations/fix ups

About you

The successful person will be someone that can operate the weighbridge efficiently as required. You will have proven experience working autonomously and can self-manage day to day tasks and problem solve in any arising situation.

Experience and attributes;

• Full class 1 licence
• Experience working within administration and/or weighbridge duties is advantageous
• Be a team player.
• Have a strong customer focus.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be self-motivated & driven to succeed.
