Job summary

Compass Group New Zealand is recruiting for a Barista in the Air New Zealand Lounge in Wellington. You will own the coffee bar operations, delivering outstanding service and premium coffee craftsmanship to guests.

This permanent role offers weekend hours and opportunities to grow within the Compass Group NZ hospitality team. You will prepare espresso beverages with care, maintain a clean, safe cafe environment, and provide warm hospitality to travellers, while working closely with the lounge

Qualifications

Experience as a barista or in a hospitality role with strong coffee-making skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee with grinding, extraction, milk texturing and presentation.
Manage daily coffee bar operations including setup, service, stock control and closing procedures.
Deliver personalised customer service and create memorable guest experiences.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the coffee bar and surroundings per food safety standards.
Collaborate with lounge team to uphold service standards and support lounge operations.
