Job summary

Wolfbrook Accommodation is seeking a full-time On-Site Manager (Contractor) to run day-to-day operations of our Waterfront Apartments and Beach Motel in Kaikōura. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing guest experience, staff, bookings, payments, revenue and compliance.

You will manage reservations on Airbnb, Expedia, Booking.com and PriceGenie, adjust rates for yield, oversee Seekom, and report monthly occupancy and revenue to the owner.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing motels, hotels, or multi-site short-stay accommodation.
• Desirable: First Aid Certificate, Gas, Hazardous Substances and Chemical Training.

Responsibilities

• Manage reception and guest services, including check-in/check-out, payments, and a premium experience.
• Oversee reservations and listings across platforms to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Monitor and adjust room rates to optimise yield.
• Manage motel website and social media channels with up-to-date content.
• Provide monthly occupancy, revenue and budget reports to the business owner.
• Hire, train and manage staff to agreed standards, ensuring strong service delivery.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and liaise with tours and activities to drive bookings.
• Oversee booking system (Seekom) and respond to guest enquiries promptly.
• Step in for cleaning, laundry and grounds maintenance when required.
• Ensure appropriate cover during periods of leave and select replacement manager as needed.
