Job summary

Veolia Australia & New Zealand is hiring a Water Treatment Operator for the Central Hawke's Bay. The role involves operating and maintaining water treatment assets, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring regulatory sampling and reporting. A current NZ driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• NZQA or equivalent qualification in Water/Wastewater.
• Experience in a similar role with water infrastructure knowledge.
• Understanding of SCADA, wastewater operations, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment assets and plant.
• Troubleshoot and solve faults affecting operation.
• Install and repair water treatment assets (valves, pumps, analysers).
• Undertake quality sampling of water per regulatory requirements.
• Be the point of contact for service requests and log reports accurately.
• Oversee contractor activities on site and work overtime as needed.
