Job summary

Veolia Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Water and Waste Water Infrastructure Operator to join the Queenstown team. The role supports network operational teams to ensure safe drinking water delivery and wastewater transport, with duties spanning maintenance, fault finding and busy field work.

The successful candidate will work with internal staff, contractors and temporary labour, participate in on-call duties and uphold Veolia's health, safety, quality and environmental policies in all

Qualifications

• Combination of education, training and industry experience required.
• Experience with water mains and wastewater infrastructure sought.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and contractors.
• Strong problem solving and attention to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all reticulation infrastructure and related network assets.
• Identify and escalate problems within a proper timeframe.
• Undertake designated infrastructure operations duties.
• Fault finding and repairs to assets and infrastructure using appropriate equipment.
• Collaborate with internal staff, sub-contractors and temporary labour; share knowledge.
• Participate in On-Call duty operator roster.
• Uphold Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management standards.
• Comply with Veolia policies and local health and safety meetings.
• Undertake required on-the-job training and regulatory updates.
