Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking an experienced Water Technician to join the Hastings team. The role involves delivering, maintaining, and operating essential water infrastructure across the network, including reticulation assets.

You’ll perform repairs, respond to faults, support planned maintenance, and ensure water services remain safe and reliable. We value collaboration and safety, offering a supportive team environment with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in water reticulation.
• Minimum full Class 2 licence.
• Level 3 or 4 Water qualification preferred but not essential.
• Experience in 3 waters maintenance; PE pipework and pipe welding an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on water reticulation assets including water mains, service lines, hydrants, tobies, valves, and related fittings.
• Complete residential and commercial water connections, including backflow preventer installation.
• Support pipe installation, maintenance, pressure testing, and sterilisation of new mains before connection to the network.
• Install hydrants, valves, and associated reticulation fittings to a high standard.
• Work flexibly across planned and reactive maintenance, with some overtime and weekend work when required.

We’re looking for an experienced Water Technician to join our Hastings team.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll help deliver, maintain, and operate essential water infrastructure across the network, including water reticulation assets. Day to day, you’ll carry out repairs, respond to faults, support planned maintenance, and help keep water services safe, reliable, and up to standard.
