Job summary

Tiaki Wai seeks a Pipelines Serviceperson to support the Wellington region's Major Water network, ensuring safe, reliable water services. You will undertake maintenance on assets and help develop maintenance plans, while monitoring asset health and performance.

Based at Pomare depot with daily site travel, the role offers on-call allowances, ongoing training, and a remuneration range that reflects experience, with opportunities for higher rates for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in construction environments.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• NZQA Level 1 Literacy.
• NZ driver’s licence (full, clean).
• NZ National Certificate in Infrastructure Works Level 3 or equivalent or willingness to commence.]
• Good mobility and physical wellbeing required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake works and maintenance on Major Water assets.
• Assist with the production of maintenance plans for all equipment.
• Keep valves and fittings on the Major Water Network in a serviceable condition.
• Manage assets by monitoring age, condition and performance.
• Install flowmeters and other network equipment.
