Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty seeks an experienced Certified Water Installer to join a leading civil contractor delivering water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure in the Wellington region. You will lead crews, coordinate daily activities, and ensure work is completed safely and to high standards.

You will install and maintain water assets, provide technical leadership on site, and work with Supervisors and Project Teams to meet QA and safety requirements for complex infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Certified Water Installer (Level 4) qualification.
• Proven experience in water infrastructure construction.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and QA requirements.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and health and safety.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Water Installer to join a leading civil contractor delivering essential water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects across the Wellington region.

You'll play a key role on-site, leading crews, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

About the Role

Working alongside Supervisors and Project Teams, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of water infrastructure assets while providing technical expertise and leadership on site.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Certified Water Installer (Level 4) qualification.
• Proven experience in water infrastructure construction.
• Strong understanding of water, wastewater, and stormwater networks.
• Experience leading crews or working in a Leading Hand or Foreperson capacity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and QA requirements.
• Full Class 1 Driver License.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and health and safety best practices.

Desirable

• WTR endorsements.
• Class 2 License or higher.
• Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment.
• Previous experience working on Wellington water infrastructure projects.
