84 Recruitment Limited looking for a Civil/Mechanical Engineer to work on water and wastewater infrastructure in Tauranga. You will contribute to feasibility through commissioning, designing pipelines, pump stations and treatment systems, and preparing reports, calculations and drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years' experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience across both design and construction phases.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence and minimal supervision.
• Working toward or holding CPEng (Engineering New Zealand).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver pipelines, pump stations, and treatment systems.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specs.
• Provide construction-phase support, including site visits and issue resolution.
• Manage programme, risk, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.

About the Role:

You’ll work across the full lifecycle of water and wastewater projects from feasibility and design through to construction support and commissioning as part of a small, ambitious project team. Day to day, you can expect to:

• Design and deliver pipelines, pump stations, and treatment systems
• Prepare and review engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specs
• Provide construction-phase support, including site visits and issue resolution
• Manage programme, risk, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
• Support commissioning, testing, and defect close-out
