Job summary

Simms Diesel & Turbocharger Services Ltd in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensure accurate stock handling, and meet delivery deadlines.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will supervise inbound/outbound goods, coordinate pick/pack and dispatch, maintain inventory records, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations including picking, packing, receiving and dispatch.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate order picking and stock control.
• Proficient with computers and inventory management systems.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• High level of personal accountability and work ethic.
• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting.
• Holder of a Full New Zealand Driver's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound goods with accurate stock receipts and dispatch.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders within required timeframes.
• Prepare shipping and freight documentation for transport carriers.
• Safely load and unload goods using a forklift.
• Maintain inventory records with regular stock counts and variance checks.
• Organise warehouse storage for efficiency and safety; support continuous improvement.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our warehouse, ensuring inventory is managed accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

About the role

Reporting to our Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our warehouse :

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all inward and outward goods, ensuring accurate receipt and dispatch of stock.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately and within required timeframes.
• Prepare all shipping and freight documentation required by transport carriers.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload goods using a forklift.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and inventory control processes.
• Organise and maintain warehouse storage to maximise efficiency, accessibility, and workplace safety.
• Manage the internal kit assembly and repackaging program.
• Liaise with the parts team to ensure all customer orders are completed accurately and in full.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional warehouse environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and overall business performance.

Key Skills

• Previous warehouse experience, including picking, packing, receiving, and dispatch.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate order picking and stock control.
• Proficient in using computers and inventory management systems.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
