Job summary

Transpower New Zealand Limited (TPNZ) is seeking a Warehouse Assistant based in Bunnythorpe, Palmerston North. You will support service providers by receiving, stocking, and dispatching materials essential for New Zealand’s grid maintenance and project work.

You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and focus on stock control, timely deliveries, and safe handling of high‑value infrastructure items. A forklift certificate and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing or logistics with safe handling of materials or equipment.
• Competence with forklift operation and required licences; gantry crane familiarity a plus.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage inwards goods.
• Pick, pack and dispatch orders.
• Maintain stock accuracy with correct bin locations.
• Assist with regular stock cycle counts.
• Perform visual stock inspections and apply FIFO.
• Keep the warehouse tidy and organised.
