Our warehouse teams, based across the country, play a crucial role in ensuring materials are available for grid maintenance and development projects.
Based in Otahuhu, you’ll work as part of a team supplying Service Providers with materials for both project and maintenance work, ensuring inventory and warehouse operations run smoothly.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll uphold high standards in material handling and stock control, ensuring timely deliveries to site. No two days are the same, and you’ll take on ownership and responsibility as part of a small, dedicated team focused on delivering excellent service.
You’ll be physically fit (lifting up to 20kg) and thrive in a role that includes:
This isn’t a typical warehouse. We store high-value infrastructure items essential to New Zealand’s power supply, including long lead-time equipment and some very large, heavy, and unusually shaped items.
Handling transformers, transmission parts, and heavy machinery means secure crating is essential. You’ll be responsible for building custom crates to protect large or awkwardly shaped items, so you must be confident using nail guns, skill saws, etc and happy working both outdoors and in the warehouse.
As you’d expect, safety always comes first. We follow strict Health & Safety standards to keep our people, service providers, and materials safe.
You're reliable, focused, and eager to get the job done. With a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn, you’ll bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to our fast-paced environment.
A competent and licensed forklift operator, you’ll hold a Forklift Operator’s Certificate (OSH) and, if driving on a road, an "F" endorsement on your driver's licence.
While not essential, experience with inventory management systems, scanning devices, or devanning containers will be an advantage -let us know if you have it.
You’ll also need to be comfortable working accurately in a manual stock environment where long serial and asset numbers are recorded and checked carefully.
MPI training will be provided, and accreditation is required for the role.
