Job summary

Plunket is seeking a Volunteer Home Visiting Coordinator in Taranaki to grow and support whānau mahi. This fixed-term role runs until December 2028 and involves coordinating the day-to-day operations of the volunteer home visiting programme, recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, and connecting with whānau to identify needs and match with suitable volunteers.

You’ll work with our clinical and Community Services teams, build trusted relationships with whānau and community organisations,

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in community services, coordination or community development within non-profit, social services or health org.
• Experience building community relationships and recruiting, guiding and encouraging volunteers.
• Organised and comfortable balancing referrals, conversations, administration and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day running of the programme.
• Recruit, train and support volunteers.
• Manage referrals and match with suitable volunteers.
• Build relationships with whānau, volunteers and local organisations.
