Job summary

McArthur Ridge Vineyard is seeking 10 fit staff to undertake seasonal vineyard tasks in Alexandra, NZ. Start early (7 am) with a 4:30 pm finish, five days per week, Saturday mornings optional. Responsibilities include installing vine guards and wire lifting as part of the summer crew.

Approximately 6 positions will be taken on for the peak summer period, with work finishing by February 2027. Onsite cooking facilities, showers, and toilets available; transport is the recruit's responsibility.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to work in hot temperatures.
• Able to work at outdoor vineyard tasks for extended periods.
• Willing to start early (7 am) and work five days per week.

Responsibilities

• New planting vine guard installation.
• Wire lifting and related vineyard tasks (starts after guards are finished).
• Work 7 am to 4:30 pm, five days per week; Saturday mornings may be required.

Job description

McArthur Ridge Vineyard requires 10 fit staff to complete the following tasks:

• New planting vine guard installation (expect work to take about 2 weeks)
• Wire lifting, commencing straight after guards are finished and expected to continue until 18th December.

We will be looking at taking on 6 people throughout the summer from this crew, with work expected to finish at the end of February 2027. We will be offering piece rates and hourly rates, this work requires you to be fit and able to work in hot temperatures. Start times will 7 am to 4.30 pm, 5 days per week with Saturday mornings offered. We have facilities onsite for cooking, showers and toilets but no accommodation, so for those wanting to stay in vans, campervans etc. You need your own transport.
