Job summary

Cloudy Bay Vineyards invites enthusiastic Vineyard Operators to join our Marlborough team in permanent, full-time roles, supporting day-to-day vineyard management alongside Vineyard Managers to deliver outstanding viticultural outcomes.

This hands-on role offers exposure to tractor operation, pruning, irrigation, harvests and data recording while emphasising health, safety and sustainability across our premium wine business.

Qualifications

• What we're looking for: You will be a practical, hands-on team player with a strong work ethic and genuine interest in viticulture.
• Class 1 Driver Licence is essential and prior vineyard, agricultural, horticultural, or machinery operation experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn; ability to work independently and with others.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Operating tractors and vineyard machinery.
• Vineyard spraying, mowing, mulching, canopy trimming and cultivation.
• Pruning, vine training and canopy management.
• Irrigation system maintenance and monitoring.
• Harvest operations and vineyard support.
• General vineyard maintenance and upkeep.
• Recording spray diaries and timesheets.
• Assisting with data collection and pest/disease monitoring.
• Supporting health, safety and environmental initiatives.
