Summerset Retirement Villages in Dunedin is seeking a dedicated Chef for our village café and resident meals. This permanent part-time role focuses on preparing set meals, café orders, and a varied cabinet menu to suit diverse resident diets.

You will deliver high-quality meals, collaborate with the kitchen team, and contribute to themed dining events while upholding Food Safety Plans and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Professional cookery qualification.
• Experience working as a Cook or a Chef.
• Sound understanding of Food Safety Plans.
• Team player who loves passing on culinary knowledge to colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking set meals delivered to residents.
• Cooking short orders for cafe customers.
• Assisting with creating a cafe specials menu.
• Complying with the approved Food Control Plan.
• Providing support and guidance to the kitchen team regarding food preparation techniques.
