The School of Veterinary Science (SVS) is seeking to appoint a Veterinary Work Integrated Learning Coordinator to join our team in supporting the oversight of BVSc student work-integrated learning (clinical and non-clinical placements external to the university). This position will be working remotely (based from home) with a requirement to travel within New Zealand to contracted placement providers and to the Manawatu campus at times. This is a permanent appointment with the hours of work being negotiable but would suit someone looking for part-time work.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with veterinary practices that support the clinical training of Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) students. You will help ensure students receive a high-quality learning experience during their clinical placements by maintaining strong relationships with partner practices, supporting teaching and assessment standards, and providing guidance to both students and supervisors. You will also play a key role in coordinating and administering Veterinary Work Integrated Learning (WIL) courses, ensuring placements run smoothly and accreditation requirements are met.
