OceanaGold invites applications for an Underground Geotechnical Engineer based at Macraes, Otago. You will manage underground stability through systematic data collection, geotechnical analysis, and inspections under the Ground Control Management Plan, contributing to safe production targets.

The role demands a degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering, a current driver's licence, and at least 1 year in underground mining.

Competenze

• A recognised degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Full and current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in underground mining essential.

Mansioni

• Perform daily inspections of underground environment and monitoring.
• Review geological mapping and ground condition records daily.
• Implement mitigation plans for adverse ground conditions.
• Install and maintain geotechnical monitoring systems.
• Ensure QA/QC on ground support per GCMP.
• Review mining plans to ensure appropriate geotechnical conditions.
