Job summary

Acon Industries is seeking a reliable Truck Driver in Tauranga to join our team. You will transport materials and equipment across asphalt and chipseal projects, support surfacing crews on site and help keep jobs moving with a can-do attitude.

Current NZ Class 4 or 5 licence, safe driving habits, and ability to work with the crew are essential. Night shifts and day shifts may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a current NZ Class 4 or Class 5 licence.
• Proven safe driving record and ability to follow site safety rules.
• Certifications: ConstructSafe or Site Safe, and First Aid are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials, equipment and support asphalt/chipseal crews across the Bay of Plenty.
• Occasionally cart gear between sites and assist with loading/unloading machinery.
• Support crew to keep job movements efficient and on schedule.

This role involves working across asphalt and chipseal projects throughout the Bay of Plenty, transporting materials, equipment and supporting our surfacing crews on site.

What's the job?

You'll be transporting materials, equipment and supporting our asphalt and chipseal crews across the region.

Some days you'll be carting gear between sites.

Some days you'll be helping load and unload machinery.

Some days you'll be working alongside the crew helping keep the job moving.

We don't believe in "that's not my job" around here.

Everyone pitches in when needed.

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and licences.

Time and a half for all hours physically worked over 40 each week.

Additional 15% payment for night shift hours worked.
