Jay Kay Transport Limited in Invercargill seeks two Class 5 truck drivers to join our team. The role offers hourly pay of 25–32 NZD and a minimum of 30–40 hours per week with overtime at base rate beyond 30 hours.

The ideal candidates have a NZ Class 5 licence, solid driving basics, clean criminal records, and the ability to handle paperwork. A safety-conscious, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Class 5 NZ licence or equivalent overseas licence.
• Minimum 3–6 months driving experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Have a clean criminal record.
• Able to do some heavy lifting from time to time.
• Able to communicate effectively and complete paperwork accurately.

Responsabilités

• Plan the delivery goods correctly so that they are delivered on time.
• Supervise load and unload of products from the trucks.
• Transport all fragile and heavy items carefully.
• Maintain and update the record of all deliveries.
• Inspect trucks daily for cleanliness and good working conditions.
• Follow traffic and driving rules.
• Collect delivery confirmations from customers.
• Monitor and refuel oil in the truck as needed.
• Report defects or maintenance needs.

Job Description

We are looking for two Class 5 drivers. Below are the further details:

Hourly rate: $25-$32 per hour.

Minimum weekly hours: 30-40 each week. Any extra hours worked over 30 each week will be compensated at base hourly rate.

Requirements

• Class 5 New Zealand licence or equivalent overseas licence
• Minimum 3-6 months driving experience preferred but no mandatory
• Have clean criminal record.
• Able to do some heavy lifting from time to time
• Able to communicate effectively and complete paperwork accurately
