Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is seeking a Travelling Technical Supervisor based in Hamilton to verify and issue official assurances for export of animal products. You will carry out verification activities in accordance with the current legislation and Overseas Market Access requirements, thereby permitting the issue of official assurances for export. This is a diverse role, and you could be auditing several different sectors associated with animal products such as meat, dairy, seafood, and poultry.
Technical training is provided to the successful applicant.
You must have a current full New Zealand driver licence (not temporary, learner, or provisional) or equivalent full foreign drivers licence, and any endorsements required for the type of driving you'll be doing.
You will be based in Hamilton as part of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Circuit team and will work within the Waikato Bay of Plenty region. You will report to the Waikato Team Leader. The role sits within the Verification Services Directorate. MPI Verification Services (MPI VS) provides a range of food safety verification and certification services to support market access strategies and setting standards.
