Extrastaff, a Labour Hire Company, is hiring full‑time carpenters to support project work throughout New Zealand. You will work on commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction sites, with site location based on project demand.

This nationwide role requires travel or relocation as needed. Regions include North and South Islands, with relocation costs covered by the company. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in Carpentry or relevant occupation, or level 4 qualification.
• Able to work independently and adapt to new environments.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Formwork, framing, cladding, and finishing work.
• Construct, install, and repair structures.
• Maintain health and safety standards.

Although this role is listed in Auckland, we are recruiting for positions to be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements. For clarification, these regions are

North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.

South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
