Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work and SWRB registration are required.
• At least five years' post-qualification experience in family harm practice.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, risk assessment and safety planning.
• Experience collaborating with multiple agencies and community partners.
• Understanding Te Ao Māori and whānau-centred practice.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, advocacy and leadership skills.
• Commitment to embedding Te Pou Mataaho within service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Undertake complex family harm assessments and develop safety plans for whānau.
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally grounded support, advocacy and crisis intervention.
• Lead case coordination with iwi, health, justice and community partners.
• Mentor practitioners and support capability development across the team.
• Contribute to service quality, reporting and evaluation.
