Job summary

APD Global invites applications for a Transmission Lines Engineer to join our Christchurch office. The role focuses on delivering high-quality HV transmission line design, working within a leading Lines Engineering team across APAC.

You will oversee design, analysis, and implementation of transmission line projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients. Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years transmission lines experience.
• Proficiency in PLS software (PLS-CADD, TOWER and POLE).

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end design of Transmission Lines including modelling, design of structures and foundations.
• Concept and Detailed Design of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD software.
• Modelling of structures using PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE.
• Foundation designs – concrete and pile foundations.
• Site visits and inspections as required.
• Assisting with proposals.
• Managing smaller projects or parts of larger ones.
• Interfacing directly with clients on projects and opportunities.
