Job summary

Napier City Council is delivering a Service Enablement Programme to improve systems, processes, and ways of working that support our people and community. The Service Enablement Lead will coordinate a portfolio of transformation initiatives, provide structure and momentum, and enable informed decision-making from planning through to implementation.

You will monitor progress, manage stakeholders, risks and budgets, and deliver clear reporting to governance groups.

Qualifications

• Significant experience coordinating or managing complex programmes or portfolios of work involving business transformation or technology implementation.
• Experience monitoring multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, tracking progress, and proactively managing risks.
• Strong programme and project management expertise across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and influencing skills with senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the Service Enablement Programme across multiple workstreams and business areas.
• Monitor progress, manage budgets, risks and dependencies; provide reporting to governance groups.
• Work with leaders, units and stakeholders to maintain momentum and ensure outcomes.
• Support change management activities enabling adoption across the organisation.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external providers to deliver shared outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen programme management practices and delivery processes.
