Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Trainee Sterilisation Technician to join the Central Sterile Sciences department across North Shore and Waitākere campuses. Full training will be provided and you will learn instrumentation used in patient care.

The role requires at-work training with lifting, and a commitment to quality and safety. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a path to a nationally recognised Sterilising Technology qualification.

Qualifications

• Ability to work from 15:00 to 23:30, including some weekend work on a rotational basis
• To be a team player
• To be quality focussed

Responsibilities

• Collection, sorting, decontamination, inspection, testing and sterilisation of surgical and medical devices at the cutting edge of technology; lifting may be involved
• Working with lifting as part of duties
